GMU Engineers and Geologists is proud to support the development of a new large-scale industrial facility through our fully integrated engineering services. The project site—originally a steep hillside with adverse geologic conditions—presented significant challenges, particularly related to slope stability and grading constraints.

To make the site development-ready, GMU designed a robust geo-structural solution that balanced performance with efficiency. Our team engineered a system of:
  • Tieback retaining walls
  • Tieback slope anchors with reaction blocks
  • Cantilever cast-in-place concrete retaining walls


These solutions were strategically implemented to stabilize the terrain, minimize earthwork, and deliver the necessary pad acreage for the planned industrial building.
The result?A stable, permitted, and buildable site—designed to meet strict geotechnical and structural criteria while reducing overall construction impact.

GMU provided full-service support from initial project planning through design and permitting, and continues to provide geotechnical observation and testing as well as special inspection services during grading, wall construction, and overall construction of this industrial facility.

With rough grading and wall systems complete, the site is now ready for precise grading and vertical construction.
