Geotechnical Engineer (Various Levels)

 

  • BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering, with a focus on geotechnical engineering preferred
  • Geotechnical investigations, analyses, and reporting for public infrastructure, private development, and residential projects
  • Perform and oversee field exploration, sampling, and lab testing programs Conduct engineering analyses (slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, liquefaction, etc.)
  • Prepare geotechnical and foundation design reports
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software (LPILE, Slope/W, gINT, AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS…)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to excellent client relations and maintaining project schedule
  • Self-motivated individual who is comfortable working autonomously and in a team-based environment

Pavement Engineer (Various Levels)
 

  • BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering, coursework on pavement engineering preferred

  • Pavement engineering assignments and projects, ranging from pavement evaluations, designs, pavement management plans, pavement condition index surveys, pavement testing and analysis (FWD and GPR), materials testing

  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates

  • Familiarity with pavement and soils laboratory tests

  • Familiarity with pavement software to conduct analysis and support deliverables (Paver, StreetSaver, CAD, ESRI ArcGIS, RADAN…)

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Commitment to excellent client relations and maintaining project schedule

  • Self-motivated individual who is comfortable working autonomously and in a team-based environment

Engineering Technician

 

  • Perform geotechnical observation and testing during project construction.
  • Perform field density testing on soils, aggregates, and asphalt concrete.
  • Monitor construction activities to check for conformance with project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare field daily reports to document geotechnical observation and testing.
  • Prefer cross-trained as Registered Special Inspector

Engineering Geologist

 

  • Perform and manage geotechnical investigations.
  • Manage geotechnical projects from investigation through design and construction.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports independently and part of geotechnical engineering team.
  • PG required; CEG preferred, or plan to obtain CEG in future.
  • B.S. in Geological Sciences required; M.Sc. preferred
  • 5 years experience

Geo-Structural Engineer (Various Levels)

  • BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering, with a focus on geotechnical or structural engineering preferred

  • EIT or PE license

  • Geo-Structural foundation designs

    • Shallow Foundation Designs for permanent structures and walls

    • Deep Foundation Designs for permanent structures, walls, slope stabilization

    • MSE Wall designs
       

  • Superstructure designs

    • Masonry

    • Concrete

    • Wood

  • Proficient in Design Software

    • Able to design all aspects of structures from foundation up using multiple design software, (Enercalc, RISA-3D, L-Pile, Excel).

  • Proficient in CAD * Able to draft designs and write specifications for structural plan sets. *

  • Able to oversee design and construction projects. * Able to meet design schedules and commitments.

Registered Special Inspector

 

  • Perform special inspection services during project construction.
  • Special inspection services include reinforced concrete, masonry, post-tension, structural steel welding and bolting, spray-applied fireproofing, etc.
  • Fabricate test specimens for concrete, masonry, etc.
  • Monitor construction activities to check for conformance with project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare daily Special Inspection Reports to document geotechnical observation and testing.
  • Relevant certifications by ICC, ACI, Caltrans, and other public agencies
  • Prefer cross-trained in geotechnical observation and testing (i.e., experience with soils)
