Yuba County Water Agency, Narrows II Powerhouse Bypass Project – Yuba County, CA
GMU provided blast and vibration consulting for Mitchell Engineering Company during blasting of hard rock during construction of a bypass tunnel. GMU provided: 1) blast consulting services during the design of the tunnel blast plans, 2) reviewed tunnel blasting plans, 3) observed blast operations and 4) provided vibration monitoring of water district improvements during blasting.
San Diego Creek Channel Invert Repair Project – Irvine, CA
GMU provided vibration monitoring services for Shimmick Construction Company during the sheet pile installation operations along the San Diego Creek channel embankments to repair the channel invert. Sheet piles were driven with a vibratory hammer immediately adjacent to existing channel improvements and within 50 feet of residential structures.
Main Street Bridge Expansion – Temecula, CA
GMU provided vibration monitoring services for the City of Temecula during foundation construction for the bridge expansion project. Our services included performing pre and post-construction surveys and performing vibration monitoring services during pile driving operations related to the bridge foundation. A historical hotel structure, city museum and apartments were monitored.
