Transportation Projects
GMU has overseen geotechnical work for numerous major Southern California transportation projects including the Laguna Niguel Metrolink Station and several arterial roadways throughout Orange County, including the widening of Ortega Highway in San Juan Capistrano, the La Pata Gap extension in San Clemente and Antonio Parkway through Ladera Ranch. GMU has also performed geotechnical engineering and design services for more than 30 bridges in Orange and Los Angeles counties, including ones along Crown Valley and Antonio Parkway near Mission Viejo.
Laguna Niguel Metrolink Station, Laguna Niguel

GMU served as the lead geotechnical consultant during planning and construction of the Laguna Niguel Metrolink Station, a new multi-modal transportation center for South Orange County that included passenger platforms, a pedestrian underpass, track realignments and parking and drainage improvements. GMU performed a geotechnical investigation and prepared geotechnical maps and cross sections to guide grading and construction of the facility. GMU also provided geotechnical recommendations for shoring, testing and dewatering services. |
