Ladera Ranch, Orange County

Client: Rancho Mission Viejo

Over the course of a decade, GMU provided lead geotechnical design and construction services for Ladera Ranch, a 4,000-acre master-planned community in South Orange County developed by Rancho Mission Viejo. The challenging hillside site featured a variety of complicated soils conditions, including numerous landslides, that were evaluated and remediated in the course of 100 million cubic yards of corrective grading. GMU received a number of awards for our work at Ladera Ranch, including 2004 ASCE Project of the Year.
